HattonStreet

London
2022

Hatton Street, in North Marylebone, is the renovation of a former industrial garage space in an art deco building into office, studio, and gallery space. The project takes advantage of broad, open double-height space to create open studio and art display area on the ground floor, with wool curtains for flexible spatial division, cast concrete floor, steps, and entry bench, a furnished with large custom ply tables for collaboration and visual display of samples and materials. In a secondary ground floor area, a large custom oak table accentuates the length of the space and forms a primary work area.

A concrete mezzanine creates the skeleton on the ground floor for wood-framed meeting rooms in eggshell white, with felt display & collaboration boards, above which is located additional workspace, felt-lined call rooms, and storage. Bathrooms feature pale ivy tilework, and the kitchen is finished simply with Carrera marble and white joinery. Meeting rooms, call rooms, and staff lockers throughout are finished with minimal ply joinery units. Exposed Viabizzuno industrial light fixtures and brushed-finish stainless steel circular air handling units - aligned symmetrically with all structural beams - unify the space throughout.
